Gehres is an auctioneer who works with individuals, companies and institutions to sell real estate and personal property at auction for more money in less time. Gehres also works with charities, nonprofits and other organizations to raise money through live auction events. In addition to Belhorn Auctions Gehres is an auctioneer, Realtor and appraiser with United Country/Gryphon Realty and Auction Group.
Gehres is the co-founder for The Super Auction, a unique biannual event that brings together auction companies from across the Midwest for an exposition of American Auctioneering. He is also the Executive Director of The Auctioneer Channel, a video sharing, educational and networking website for the auction industry.
Gehres teaches at The Ohio Auction School and Reppert School of Auctioneering. He has taught at the Certified Auctioneers Institute and has spoken at various state auctioneer associations and presented at the National Auctioneers Association Conference & Show. Gehres has appeared on both radio and TV promoting auctions and the auction method of marketing
Gehres is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and studies in Agricultural Engineering and Economics. Gehres is also a graduate of The Ohio Auction School and Hondros College (Real Estate).
Gehres was a finalist in the 2010 International Auctioneers Championship and is the 2010 Michigan Auctioneer Champion (Bid Calling) as well a member of the Michigan State Auctioneering Association’s Board of Directors and the treasurer of the Ohio Auctioneers Association. Gehres is the 2006 Ohio Bid Calling Contest - Junior Division Champion. Gehres has won numerous auction marketing awards in both Ohio and Michigan. Gehres has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation which is the highest educational recognition in the auction industry. In addition he earned the Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designation and completed ProTrack, an advanced professional speaker education and training course, offered by the National Speakers Association's Ohio Chapter

In addition to her work with Belhorn Auctions she is a co-founder and partner of Columbus, Ohio based Gryphon USA, Ltd., the parent company of United Country Ohio Realty & Auction Group. Mrs. Kruse oversees the daily operations of the company, taking the lead on managing Gryphon’s office operations, financials, marketing and business outreach. Before founding Gryphon, Mrs. Kruse was a White House aide, focusing on international presentation of US policy to domestic and foreign government officials, trade negotiations and international business outreach to US and foreign corporations, as well as media and public relations coordination for various White House departments. Mrs. Kruse applies her expertise in negotiation and networking to Gryphon’s corporate restructuring and wind down, asset recovery and auctions.

Belhorn is an expert in American Art Pottery identification and inspection. He has handled 1000's of examples of American Art Pottery after a decade in the business. Belhorn graduated Cum Laude from Heidelberg University, Tiffin, Ohio with a Bachelors Degree in Physics and Music Performance in addition to being a Mastin Scholar, Presidential Scholar, and member of the College's Academic Honorary. Additionally Belhorn is a graduate of The Ohio Auction School, and Hondros College (Real Estate).
Belhorn is a life member and past secretary of the American Art Pottery Association.
