Description and Catalog: For the vast majority of our auctions we are pleased to provide a fully searchable online catalog. This includes detailed descriptions, professional-quality photography and condition reports. This descriptions are fully guaranteed (see below) and are carefully prepared to ensure that you are able to bid and buy with the utmost confidence in your purchases. For select auctions we also offer a full-color printed catalog that is available for purchase for a nominal fee.
Online Absentee and Live Bidding: Attending the live auction is the best way to ensure successful bidding. However busy lives and great distances mean this is not always a practical option. As a service to our buyers we are pleased offer online absentee and live online bidding for our live auction events and numerous Dynamic Internet Auction events. Please follow the web links in each auction listing to the online catalog.
Shipping and Handling: Focusing primarily on pottery for over 15 years, we are experts in the care required in handling of fragile items. Both before and after an auction we take care to ensure the safe transportation of all lots. All shipping is done after successful processing of payment. Successful absentee, internet and phone bidders have two options at the conclusion of an auction to collect their items:
1) Third-party Shipping (Default). Once the initial invoice for your purchase is processed (hammer price + buyer's premium), we will take your items to Pak Mail on your behalf and free of charge with your contact information. It is your responsibility to contact Pak Mail directly and make full arrangements and payment with them. It is also very important to note that once we deliver your items to Pak Mail, we are no longer responsible for them in any way. Additionally, we cannot take the items back for other shipping arrangements once they’ve been turned over to Pak Mail. 2) Pick-up (By Request). For orders large and small pick up at our Columbus area offices is available at a mutually agreed upon time. While we will try to accomodate all requests, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice to improve the chances one of our our staff members can be available to meet you in person.
The Guarantee: It is our desire that you bid and purchase with confidence and that you are satisfied with your purchases from us. Therefore unless otherwise stated in the terms and conditions or in the lot description, Belhorn Auction Services guarantees all lots to be as described. In the event a lot is not as described we will refund your full hammer price and buyer's premium. Please see the terms and conditions of each auction for full details, conditions and limitations of our guarantee.
